Currently the Society has over 200 members.<br /></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"><strong><span style="color:#993300;">The aim of the Society is to make art accessible to the community.</span><br /></strong></span><span style="color:#cc6600;">In its spacious, well-lit studios on the first floor of the Arts and Craft Centre, the Society provides art classes in all mediums, catering for beginners to advanced students.<br />Other activities include monthly demonstrations by professional Artists, free weekly workshops, exhibitions of members’ artworks, field trips, social outings and free BBQ before General Meetings. All members are invited to attend general meetings held every three months.<br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#cc6600;">The De Haan Gallery, situated in one of the Society’s studios, is fully equipped with specialised lighting and hanging and houses a continuous supply of members’ artworks. Full and concession members have the opportunity to exhibit &amp; sell their artworks throughout the year. Paintings are for sale at reasonable prices. Quarterly encouragement awards exhibitions are held where class members can exhibit artworks completed during class lessons.
